Doolittle Law wins summary judgment in multimillion dollar breach of fiduciary duty and embezzlement case.

On Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Honorable Judge Edward G. Weil, Judge of the Contra Costa County Superior Court, dismissed a case brought against our client in a heavily contested matter involving claims against the manager of a large family commercial real estate investment company.

Lead attorney Wallace Doolittle stated: “The strategy, research, discovery and drafting of this motion for summary judgment were assembled methodically over a period of years. We congratulate our client for this summary judgment order which extricated him from this bad faith and expensive litigation and avoided the further expense of trial.”

Wrongful termination with punitive damages.

Represented two defendant insurance agencies in Mendocino County in a seven-week jury trial. The plaintiff, State Farm, alleged trade secret infringement and breach of contract.

The jury awarded our clients a full defense verdict and a further jury verdict in the amount of $12,600,000 against State Farm for unlawful termination. Later, after being remanded on appeal, the entire action was dismissed in our client’s favor on mootness grounds.

Represented a major national client as a Respondent in an investment-related arbitration victory.

Represented a major national client as a Respondent in an investment-related arbitration victory against a shareholder seeking $10,000,000 in unpaid distributions from an LLC investment entity. The panel of three arbitrators ruled in our client’s favor, resulting in zero payout by our client.

Represented an established multi-office insurance agency in a five-week jury trial in Sonoma County Superior Court.

Doolittle Law wins summary judgment in Multimillion Dollar Racketeering, Fraudulent Transfer and Tort Case.

On Friday, May 13, 2022, Honorable Judge Suzanne Bolanos, Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, dismissed a case brought against our client in a heavily contested matter alleging Racketeering, Fraudulent Transfer and other Tort claims.

Wallace Doolittle, counsel for Defendant, stated: “Plaintiff spent a fortune on this prosecution, and in the end came up empty because they could not prove causation and damages.”

These Summary Adjudication Motions, all of which were granted, resulted in the dismissal of the case against our client, saving hundreds of thousands in attorney fees that would be incurred at trial.

Judgment on behalf of our client was entered Friday, May 13, 2022.

Doolittle Law wins Antitrust False Claims Fraud Case.

Honorable Judge William H. Orrick III, Judge of the United States District Court Northern District of California, dismissed a case with prejudice brought against our client as part of a federal False Claims Act.

The Plaintiff argued that the defendant filed false claims for reimbursement from Medicare for patients that were ineligible for coverage.

Wallace Doolittle and James Downs, attorneys for the defendant, argued that the Plaintiff’s case should be dismissed as it failed to state a claim where relief can be granted.

Judgment on behalf of our client was entered October 1, 2018, resulting in a Bench Decision in favor of the Defendant. The case was dismissed with prejudice.

Represented a nationwide collection agency and law firm in a three-week jury trial.

Represented a nationwide collection agency and law firm in a three-week jury trial in Alameda County Superior Court in which plaintiff alleged defamation and unfair credit collection practices, seeking damages in excess of $2,000,000.

At the conclusion of the trial, the jury awarded our clients a full defense verdict. The matter is now appeal-final, having been settled for zero payout by our clients.

Represented a large investment and real estate partnership in federal court in Sacramento in an action to foreclose.

Represented a large investment and real estate partnership in federal court in Sacramento in an action to foreclose on a 150-acre subdivision in Siskiyou County. Our firm defeated defendants’ summary judgment motion and prevailed on our client’s summary judgment motion. Subsequently, our client re-acquired the entire subdivision by way of deed in lieu of foreclosure.

Represented two non-guarantor shareholders in San Mateo County in defense of an action by a community bank.

Represented two non-guarantor shareholders in San Mateo County in defense of an action by a community bank to recover over $20 million against our clients on an alter ego theory. Our firm’s demurrer was sustained without leave to amend and we recovered $56,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs.

Represented a large international company in defense of an action brought by OSHA relating to an industrial accidental death.

Our client received only a small fine and adverse publicity was non-existent. Additionally, we successfully discouraged counsel from filing a wrongful death lawsuit, and the statute of limitations expired without a civil action being filed.zero payout by our client.
